Privacy Policy

PixUp is a browser-based image compression tool. This page explains what basic data is handled on this website and what happens to your images.
1. Image processing
- By default, all image compression happens inside your browser (client-side).
- This means your images are not automatically uploaded to our server unless you explicitly enable the optional server conversion feature.
2. Server conversion (optional)
If you choose to use the optional backend server for advanced formats, then:
- Your image is processed temporarily only for the duration of the conversion.
- We do not intend to store images for analytics, training, or long-term retention.
3. Basic usage data
In this demo version:
- We do not use any login system or user accounts.
- No third-party trackers (such as analytics scripts) are added unless you choose to integrate them yourself.
4. Local storage & browser behavior
Your browser may remember things like recent downloads, file picker history, or theme preferences. This behavior is controlled by the browser itself and is not specific to PixUp.
5. Contact & customization
If you want to customize this privacy policy text for a production deployment, please consult your legal advisor and update this section with your own conditions.
